I think this package could use some additional optdepends. Specifically, 'tesseract' and 'mpv' come to mind.

Can you please change the Exec line in the .desktop file to it becomes: Exec=/usr/bin/subtitleedit %F ..this way you can make the program default (in all DE's, such as gnome) for certain file types, such as .srt files :)

Hello, I uploaded by mistake a duplicate of this program as 'subtitleedit-bin'. The differences are: - Minor - * I named it "-bin" because it comes precompiled * I provide my own png icon - Major - * My /usr/bin script passes the command line arguments to the actual executable * I have vlc as optdepends, for embedded video support * I touch ".PACKAGE-MANAGER" in the program dir because of https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/pull/1730 If you are willing to make the last 3 changes (Major) in your package, I will remove mine.
