Is it possible for this to be changed to support elogind?

  1. I do not see how to make PKGBUILDs produce different compile variants in this way; the best thing to do may be to make a fork of this package repository which uses elogind instead.
  2. elogind/systemd are only used for the grace period feature and are not essential.

Is it possible for this to be changed to support elogind? swaylock supports this itself by setting -Dlogind-provider=elogind, but I believe you would have to check for the presence of elogind and not systemd on the system somehow.

This builds now, but I think this should no longer has conflicts/provides swaylock since the executable was renamed.

This currently does not build.

Should be fixed now; the problem was a missing file, resolved by commit 9f49b8dec6.

This currently does not build. I'd suggest updating the PKGBUILD to match https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/blob/packages/swaylock/trunk/PKGBUILD
