Client TLS also requires python-pem. It would be nice to list it as optional.

At each system update, the package reinstall itself, the same already installed version aur/syncplay-git 1.7.0.Beta1.r8.g7223b49-1 -> 1.7.0.snapshot1.r17.ge4322e1-1 -> syncplay-git-1.7.0.Beta1.r8.g7223b49-1 already made -- skipping build

Use pyside2-git until pyside2 is at 5.15.1+ (August) if you want a working GUI. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/pyside2/

@FichteFoll syncplay-git is now in sync with syncplay, as in the deps are now the same.

Please make pyside2 an optdepends, like was done for the main syncplay package[1]. There is currently an issue with the latest version of pyside2 on Python 3.8 where syncplay refuses to start[2]. Not having pyside2 installed makes it work in no-gui mode, however (or launching with QT_PREFERRED_BINDING=PyQt5).

hey @blaenk. Would you like me to co-maintain this one too for ya? :)

@awh: Thanks; updated to fix the python2 replacement. @linkmauve: I considered it and thought about how I would go about it, but I decided against it because I feel that the default setup people expect is to have a GUI for use with the client. I realize that the server doesn't need one, but I don't feel like creating a separate -server package either. You're more than welcome to do so however. I contacted a core developer regarding this and they agreed with me. Still, I'm open to the idea if you feel strongly about the issue. In particular the issues I saw were that splitting up into separate server and client packages would create duplicate files to prevent them from conflicting (since the client and server share the same back-end files). I mention splitting the packages up because I definitely want to provide a GUI out-of-the-box for people who want to use the client, since that's the primary/default interface for syncplay, so it doesn't make sense to me to make people go out of their way to install what they expect by having to install the pyside dependency separately.

git HEAD now uses #!/usr/bin/env python2, the prepare section now breaks the package
