Adopted and updated. Note that this PKGBUILD now incorporates signature verification, so you must import the signing keys from https://download.savannah.nongnu.org/releases/sysvinit/ before building. I also tried to make the build process less jank, but if anyone has additional proposals, feel free to mention.

Hello. I tried to install this and it tried to replace /bin and /sbin with directories (they are supposed to be symlinks). A look into the Makefile reveals it creates three symlinks in /sbin instead of /usr/bin. Could you please patch the makefile so that those symlinks are created in their correct location? Thank you.

The e2fsprogs conflict was fixed on the git version of this package. I will fix it here as well shortly.

sysvinit: /usr/bin/logsave exists in filesystem (owned by e2fsprogs)

sysvinit: /usr/share/man/man8/logsave.8.gz exists in filesystem (owned by e2fsprogs)

Leads to errors in installation as it does not conflict with systemd-sysvcompat.
