@carlosnewmusic I guess the libtg was causing some issues.
I have pushed a new version up, it should work properly.

I have problem with "Unix Makefiles" generator. When I run the output file, the cpu usage goes up to 100%, and it is OK with "Ninja" generator.

Hi, Just wanted to inform you that I am unable to build the package due to the incredibly high RAM usage at linking phase; with a bare boot of 800MB RAM, 16GB available and 6GB of swap I am unable to link the final binary.
I will report upstream the issue and link it here, however as of today until any improvement happens I won't be able to verify the building of the package e.g. see that the final binary is linked and packaged.

Thanks @MarsSeed, I have removed the dependency :)
MarsSeed commented on 2023-06-13 08:59 (UTC)
qt6-5compat is not needed anymore as dependency.
Since this commit (in release v4.8.3).

I think this is unnecessary in the latest versions:
Remember to delete the official (non-tweaked) launcher by using:
rm ~/.local/share/applications/telegramdesktop.desktop
After running Telegram Desktop
Also, you can remove old data from a terminal doing:
rm -r ~/.TelegramDesktop
Neither the .desktop file nor the folder is created now.
