Thanks, I will look into this. It was really quick and dirty as-is when I got the machine and I have been otherwise occupied since. I appreciate the level of detail you gave. Do you have a source for that info about the BIOS (UEFI) functionality? I wasn't aware of that and it didn't seem to be the case when I got my machine.

The rotate script is not very useful without setting "rotate_pens = true".

Could you please prompt the user that he/she will probably want to edit /opt/thinkpad-l380-yoga-scripts/rotate/thinkpad-rotate.py manually?

The "disable_touchpads" is not so important, because on this device the bios disables touchpad and keyboard at a 'yoga' rotation of about 250° automatically. The tablet-mode.sh also does the same thing as the bios functionality but has some issues, for example when going into hibernation while in tablet mode and resuming in laptop mode will result in a disabled touchpad and trackpoint in laptop mode.
