here's a PKGBUILD that works with 1.2.0.3 in the meantime, all I've changed is the file versions and checksums https://gist.github.com/parashep/3413122685a221574787

semi's PKGBUILD works on my system. No freezing at 'signing in'.

Here is a PKGBUILD for version 1.2.0.2: https://gist.github.com/db19a31a23b831e462e5 unfortunately, with neither version 1.1.0.1 nor 1.2.0.2 am I able to get further than the login screen (simply freezes at 'Signing in'). Does this still work for anybody?

Must have been something in my previous set up. I did something that messed up my windows partition so I had to wipe the entire drive and re-install both OS. Now trillian runs just fine.

I have it running under Cinnamon, x86_64. No errors yet...

@pro7o13x I get the same kind of error messages and abort. I'm thinking that once they actually release the .tar.gz version it'll finally work. I'm willing to be patient. I've waited years for this, what's a while longer.

Has anyone actually got this running? I have tried a few things, but it just brings up login screen and then once you hit "sign in" it aborts. I know it's still got some work ahead of it, so not expecting much...but curious to see if anyone has had success. I have just recently done a complete reinstall and use Awesome WM, if that helps. This is what I get when I try to get into trillian: [quote] trillian: /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.1.0.0: no version information available (required by trillian) trillian: /usr/lib/libssl.so.1.0.0: no Updated to the new version, now based on the clean Debian packages! That means no more stupid Ubuntu requirements like libunity and indicator-messages.

dotvezz commented on 2013-10-09 22:39 (UTC)

Ah, that did indeed solve it. Odd. Thanks.

mariusn commented on 2013-10-09 21:12 (UTC)

@dotvezz libmessaging-menu.so.0 is part of the indicator-messages package, which should have been installed when installing trillian... Please install indicator-messages from AUR and try again.
