@bluetail: please understand since Xfce/Thunar team do not provide a repository, the tumbler-extra-thumbnailers package on AUR is not strictly a 1:1 copy. I have harmonized the shell scripts for instance.
DjVu thumbnailer was added because it was requested (https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/tumbler-extra-thumbnailers?O=10#comment-792038).

In a5667f5083ea, I added the missing MIME type for .dds files, Thumbnailer for comic book archives and Thumbnailer for STL content.

I chatted a bit with xfce / thunar people and they would recommend that the AUR package may follow with the current codebase.

The paths can remain the same, if pointing to ~/ that just means it can also be done non-globally. But it still works globally like before.

Are you able to update the code? I notice that djvu is not in that list, and I would leave it in for compatibility reasons.

Please stop removing thumbnails! This drove me insane.

Specifically, please remove

for directory in ".cache/thumbnails" ".thumbnails"; do
    for subdirectory in "normal" "large"; do
        rm -f "$HOME/$directory/$subdirectory/$THUMBNAIL"
    done
done

Please also add gnome-dds-thumbnailer to the conflicts and provides array (actually, gnome-dds-thumbnailer only installs that one file, so tumbler-extra-thumbnailers seems to be a drop-in replacement):

gnome-dds-thumbnailer: /usr/share/thumbnailers/dds.thumbnailer exists in filesystem (owned by tumbler-extra-thumbnailers)
Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
