4.90.06 once again can be downloaded without logging in, so the PKGBUILD has been updated to 4.90.06 \o/

Well it seems like they use pyueye as well so this could work.

I think the downloads were most of the time behind the login, only a few versions were openly available, probably by mistake. As EO (Edmund Optics) are selling rebranded IDS cameras, IDS gave them their own download area without login:

The software is pretty much the same AFAIKS ...

I'm afraid it's a bit worse than that. The checksum and URL are still up to date, but the website now requires you to log to download the file. I'm afraid there's little I can do.

The AUR checks that files in the source array are either URLs or part of the git repository. The first doesn't seem possible anymore and the latter is not an option.

I'm open to ideas.. =]

Hello. The checksum seems to be out of date.

Running the daemon manually should be fine. However, there are some command line flags that are required to configure it properly. You can see exactly what command is used to run the daemon in the service file.

I take it back. The camera is working now. After all the fiddling, I just hadn't enabled and started the process using systemctl. For some reason I thought it would be fine to just run 'ueyed' before the various programs.

Hey, sorry to pester you, but the camera just isn't being detected, despite showing up on 'lsusb'. Is the camera manager meant to be available in this package?

WeeTC commented on 2017-11-24 12:28 (UTC)

That was a fast response! Thanks for the update. The package installs properly on my system now, though I still can't access the camera. That may be a problem at my end though...

The tarball for 4.82 was removed by upstream. Updated to 4.90.
