Is there a reason this installs to /opt/? I don't think Upscayl is that big...

prurigro commented on 2025-01-04 20:23 (UTC)

@m4jq: you're right, the archive no longer contains a .desktop file (and I'd been adding an Icon entry to it previously so I hadn't caught it). I've added a custom .desktop file that resembles the one in the older version.

for me cinnamon menu item is gone with last version.

Thanks @aliu & @chrrybmb: implemented both of your recommendations :)

Depending on vulkan-driver would fix what @archisman described.

chrrybmb commented on 2024-12-14 04:49 (UTC)

This package should use electron27 instead of electron. Using unsupported electron versions can cause issues, and such issues will lead to upstream bug reports.

archisman commented on 2024-07-10 15:13 (UTC)

Is there any way this AUR script can detect what graphics card (NVidia/AMD/intel) is being used, and install the corresponding vulkan driver appropriately?

archisman commented on 2024-07-10 07:55 (UTC)

I had to manually install vulkan-intel for upscayl to work. Otherwise, I got this error https://github.com/upscayl/upscayl/issues/878

For anyone updating to 2.11.0 by editing the pkgbuild, the sha512sum is 808bc1f6ab032e378c7ea592e7a2ba4059cc822fc516a2684c1627d7b9996cce67982884084aa21e16e26953b9aa2e8d417ccef37bbf3c76a5dde1bff94c5fca

@DragoonAethis & @mfcmquintela: Thanks for catching the new checksum for 2.9.9- I've updated the package to reflect this.

@aliu: Sorry about the lengthy wait! The package has been improved in a bunch of directions, including the use of native electron. Let me know if you catch any issues.
