I failed to run gtk frontend without "python2-gobject". You should probably add it as a dependency(I don't know if the kde frontent works or not, if it works, as an optional dependency could be better.).

Please do not mark it as out-of-date. I would like to keep up with the version in official Ubuntu release, not alpha/beta release.

Should I run it as root user? @kurisutian I really have no idea about your problem. This is a python program and the only part that may be related with perl is python-distutils-extra(having perl-xml-parser as indirect dependency). So I can only advise you to make sure you system is up-to-date before installing this package.

I can't compile it.... I always get the following error: /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/auto/XML/Parser/Expat/Expat.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Gthr_key_ptr Is there any known solution to this? Thanks!

update to 0.2.28, the version in Ubuntu 11.04(Natty) Now the gtk frontend only needs pygtk, not gnome-python anymore.

@hw-tph gnome-python is one of the optional dependencies. Not everyone use its gtk/gnome frontend, so putting gnome-python into depends() may not be a good idea.
