@Leogamer644 I've no idea now. Maybe you can try the veyon package?

I seem to be running into another problem now. I can run veyon master sucessfully, but when I try to run veyon configurator, it outright crashes after asking for root password with these errors in terminal: 2025-01-09T09:13:58.743: [ERR] LinuxPlatformPlugin: Received signal 11 2025-01-09T09:13:58.744: [ERR] BACKTRACE: /usr/lib/libc.so.6(+0x41a80) [0x717ea2e43a80] /usr/bin/veyon-configurator(+0x1e313) [0x5f6b4dc24313] /usr/bin/veyon-configurator(+0x23888) [0x5f6b4dc29888] /usr/bin/veyon-configurator(+0x12e55) [0x5f6b4dc18e55] /usr/lib/libc.so.6(+0x261ce) [0x717ea2e281ce] /usr/lib/libc.so.6(__libc_start_main+0x8a) [0x717ea2e2828a] /usr/bin/veyon-configurator(+0x13a65) [0x5f6b4dc19a65] 2025-01-09T09:13:58.744: [CRIT] Aborting due to severe error ... as a bonus on the gui I get errors referring to not being able to start with root privileges and to make sure I have a program similar to sudo (I already do).The program will execute with normal user privileges regardless. After that I get the next error "the backend of local configuration warned that the configuration file cant be written into! Execute the program with elevated privileges"

@Leogamer644 After trying several distribution packages, I replaced the source with Ubuntu 22.04. Surprisingly, it is now running properly. Could you please test it again?

Leogamer644 commented on 2025-01-08 12:33 (UTC)

I also got this problem after mass updating my packages by mistake. If you find a fix do tell please.

@Leogamer644 I've tried it again, but got the same error as you now, even start the /usr/bin/veyon-service. I think it was an issue from the upstream, such as https://github.com/veyon/veyon/issues/662 and https://github.com/veyon/veyon/issues/397 . Maybe just because I've updated the linux kernel and something else.

Sorry for not answering, after having tried to use this again, I get an error opening veyon-configurator. It being "PlatformPluginManager: no platform plugin available! zsh: IOT instruction (core dumped) veyon-configurator" Do you have any idea how to fix it?

@Leogamer644 Thanks for your feedback, I've changed the source to rpm, and it runs well on my PC. Will you please try again?

when I try to use the veyon-configurator or veyon.service I get the next error error: while loading shared libraries: libveyon-core.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

@LEONIDAS I've changed the source to deb and add LD_LIBRARY_PATH, can you try again?
