I finally created an update script. Please test the resulting package from https://github.com/JonnyJD/PKGBUILDs/tree/master/_vimwiki/vim-vimwiki and especially the (patched) vimwiki-convert-links Please tell me if I am missing something or it converts something to a link that should not be converted. It won't be able to convert everything, but it certainly shouldn't convert too much. For if you want to keep using CamelCase, I created: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vim-vimwiki1/ You can switch back to vimwiki1 safely.

Vimwiki 2 is out: http://groups.google.com/group/vimwiki/browse_thread/thread/76b75029957d3e59 This is partly incompatible with 1.x. Especially the link syntax changed (CamelCase does not work anymore). So I should probably have one package for 1.x and one for 2.x. Should these be vim-vimwiki and vim-vimwiki2 (new package) or vim-vimwiki1 (new package) and vim-vimwiki? The arch way (always on the edge) would be to push this package to version 2 and create a vim-vimwiki1 or vim-vimwiki-legacy package, I'd say. Any objections? I didn't have time yet to evaluate, but it might be possible to run a script to change the wiki pages on update.

JonnyJD, could you please update package? New version of VimWiki arrived few days ago. Thank you in advance :-)

updated to 1.1.1 the bug I mentioned is fixed

JonnyJD commented on 2010-09-02 22:15 (UTC)

This was only a problem together with some colorschemes. There is a fixed version in: http://code.google.com/p/vimwiki/issues/detail?id=124

Updated to 1.1 Please see http://code.google.com/p/vimwiki/wiki/ChangeLog Especially: # MISC: Many vimwiki commands were renamed from Vimwiki.*Word to Vimwiki.*Link. VimwikiGoHome is renamed to VimwikiIndex, VimwikiTabGoHome to VimwikiTabIndex. # MISC: vimwiki-option-gohome is removed. I also still have some issue using :VimwikiIndex. If you depend on this in your workflow: do not upgrade yet.
