Viper4Linux is no longer developed. Use JamesDSP instead.

@lucenera: The developer says there currently isn't a clean way to get the volume status of the original sink without without more dependencies.

lucenera commented on 2019-04-29 20:05 (UTC)

Ok. Now it's perfect. Is there a way to start viper without the volume being positioned at the maximum level?

@lucenera: Sorry about that, it's good to go now.

when I try to compile and install the package with makepkg -si, I get these three error lines: /home/lux/build/viper4linux-git/PKGBUILD: line 17: cd:/home/lux/build/viper4linux-git/src/viper4linux: No such file or directory ==> ERROR: pkgver is not allowed to be empty. ==> ERROR: pkgver () generated an invalid version:

@L3vi47h4N and @yochananmarqos, the package is working properly, adding the lib I mentioned prevents the error if the user starts viper4linux before copying the audio configuration to the user's folder (that's what happened here).

@tioguda glad you were able to get it working. If you want to work with us/me on this issue, I'm most readily available on telegram in our group. You can get there with this link. Regards! https://t.me/joinchat/FTKC2A2bolHkFAyO-fuPjw (also thanks @yochananmarqos)

@yochananmarqos Good to know, I'll check if it was not something I lost in the configuration.
