There is no version dependency on this package on purpose! You could read comments back from 2011 to understand why.

Yes, please add a version dependency. This updated to 6.0.6 while Virtualbox remained on 6.0.4, breaking my install and forcing me to manually uninstall and reinstall the downgraded extension pack.

Will be possible change dependency from depends=('virtualbox') to depends=("virtualbox=$pkgver") to force same version? Thanks.

It installed for me just now even though I'm using kernel 4.19

According to the official source for virtualbox, the current version is 6.0.0. I believe this package is incorrectly flagged as out-of-date as of 2019-01-07.

YAY flag it "Out Of Date" like yaourt. I think it's because I use LTS kernel 4.19.

I agree with drankinatty - it's up-to-date. Also, an important note on the use of yaourt: do NOT use yaourt. See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR_helpers#Comparison_table for alternatives and reasoning, as yaourt is no longer maintained (see https://github.com/archlinuxfr/yaourt/issues/382#issuecomment-437461631 ).

This package is NOT out of date. You must wait to install until after you install Linux-4.20. Then both virtualbox-bin_6.0.0 and these packages install and run fine.

To solve current problem: yaourt -R virtualbox-ext-oracle yaourt -S virtualbox-ext-oracle-5
