I get this error that I didn't get before. It still runs, but does anyone know what the actual dependency is here? $ visit Running: gui2.10.3 Unable to load library icui18n "Cannot load library icui18n: (icui18n: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)" Running: viewer2.10.3 -geometry 907x691+459+50 -borders 0,0,0,0 -shift 90,92 -preshift -90,-92 -defer -host 127.0.0.1 -port 5600 Running: mdserver2.10.3 -host 127.0.0.1 -port 5601

Hmmm, although the link was changed on https://wci.llnl.gov/simulation/computer-codes/visit/executables, it also doesn't work... Will tell the visit guys

The link http://portal.nersc.gov/svn/visit/trunk/releases/2.10.0/visit2_10_0.linux-x86_64-rhel6.tar.gz does not work anymore. Should be http://portal.nersc.gov/project/visit/releases/2.10.0/visit2_10_0.linux-x86_64-rhel6.tar.gz

I was able to get the 32-bit version installed by modifying the PKGBUILD to download the 32-bit version off the site ("supports" RHEL5 and "Will work on most Linux x86 systems.". Also had to modify the dependencies to be libpng12 instead of libpng as mentioned by tzok since the current libpng on my Arch install is libpng15.

The package needs cpio in order to install correctly. This is not indicated in the PKGBUILD.

tzok commented on 2011-03-25 10:03 (UTC)

The package needs tcsh to build and libpng12 to run. Those two are not included in the PKGBUILD
