The problem wasn't soley openjpeg2, but rather a dependency on ffmpeg caused by libvips.

There is an issue with the latest version 0.11.18, it now required openjpeg2 as when installing it and trying to run you get an error "unable to find libopenjp2.so.7"

Maybe add a version specifier to the source file name (.../walker_Linux_x86_64.tar.gz -> .../walker_Linux_$pkgver_x86_64.tar.gz)? Currently when updating walker-bin, the AUR helper (yay) would skip downloading the new release file by default because it found previous walker_Linux_x86_64.tar.gz.

should work now

Had to yay -S gtk4-layer-shell before I could install this, otherwise I was getting:

==> ERROR: Could not resolve all dependencies.
 -> error making: walker-bin-exit status 8
 -> Failed to install the following packages. Manual intervention is required:
walker-bin - exit status 8
