Hi community, I did take over maintenance for this package, since I need it for work. It's my first package here on the AUR, so please be forgiving for any mistakes.

If there is a problem with the checksums, flag the package out-of-date at the top of the page. I'll update the PKGBUILD as soon as possible.

KDE Wayland a couple of things I have done.

Workaround 1 - Launch once and login via X11, this gets around login blank screen issue. (we use SAML duo not sure if this is a caus or not)

Fix: XDG_SESSION_TYPE=x11 webex

Subsequent launches via the normal shortcut "Wayland" should be fine.

Workaround 2 - The icon in the task manager is the generic Wayland logo.

Fix: sudo cp /usr/share/applications/webex.desktop /usr/share/applications/CiscoCollabHost.desktop

Read more about what this is doing here. https://nicolasfella.de/posts/fixing-wayland-taskbar-icons/

@zachcheatham: The only 'workaround' I could come up with was a downgrade to the previous version.

I am also unable to share my screen anymore with the latest version on Gnome+Wayland. Has anyone found a workaround?

Hey everybody,

I am running Gnome/Wayland and after the upgrade to 42.10 (introduced by ed48b12eaa3f) I am not able to share my screen anymore. The 'Share' button simply doesn't show up in meetings/calls. I initially thought this is a Wayland issue, but for testing purposes I temporarily switched to Cinnamon (which is using Wayland) and sharing works flawlessly.

So this seems to be an issue with the combination Gnome, Wayland and Webex. Is anybody seeing this as well? Any hints on possible workarounds other than switching to X11? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

After entering my company email address, I get redirected to the white blank screen/page, and cannot log in.

More than happy to provide more details.

Tested on 5.10.135 and 5.15.60 MANJARO using X11 KDE

For those who cannot sign-in on Wayland (ex. sway) sessions, try:

env -u WAYLAND_DISPLAY webex

After checking namcap these are the only libraries needed but not bundled: 'libnotify' 'libpulse' 'mesa' # libgbm 'libxss' 'at-spi2-atk' 'libxrandr'

Why does this package depend on binutils? Why does it depend on libs that are bundled, why also and pulse the same time? The package only loads pulse.

Is there any workaround for blank/broken chat views on Gnome+Wayland+NVIDIA? This just started happening to me with this setup recently after updating.

When I log in, it accepts my userna,e but then renders a blank screen instead of asking for a password. I'm using sway as my WM.
