@galvez_65 Then I am happy to know that it was useful for someone. :) I also have to thank @Gasp0de for the out of date notification, I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

Regarding dependencies, the wiki says that transitive dependencies don't need to appear in the "depends" array, and it turns out that sdl2_mixer depends on everything we need:

sdl2_mixer

├─sdl2

├─libvorbis

│ └─libogg

question: considering what is in the lib64 folder shouldn't sdl2, libvorbis, and libogg be added as dependencies as well?

Thank you so much for maintaining this! I had forgotten all about this little game. Luckily WOG remembered me, and I was able to download it again. your PKGBUILD made installing it so simple. Appreciate the effort in maintaining it.

@icemodding I never saw your comment, sorry! I should have received an email notification but it never came... As the error message says, you have to download the game files archive into the package build directory, or configure a download agent in makepkg.conf in order to build this package (as well as for the other humble bundle games). Check the ArchWiki for more information about that: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Humble_Bundle By the way, the hib-dlagent package doesn't work for me, I have to use hib-dlagent-git.

Disowned.

@trya: I would gladly accept your offer. And regarding local:// vs hib:// - I presume that the current usage of local:// is to hint the person, who is building the package, to place the World of Goo source file into $srcdir. The hib:// approach keeps such functionality for people who haven't defined a custom value for hib::// in /etc/makepkg.conf. This (along with the reason smls pointed out) eliminates any reason to use local:// instead or together with hib://.

@trya Update: Actually, when you buy the game directly from http://2dboy.com/games.php it still goes through the Humble Store, so I think hib:// should cover that as well. (Of course humble:// would be a more appropriate/inclusive name for it, but everyone is already using hib:// so I'd say let's stick with it.)
