Anyone who meet the problem of launching wpspdf, please install the optional dependency libtiff5

If you have the "ERROR: One or more files failed the validity check!" problem, try cleaning your AUR cache first, and try again.

[ATTENTION] The new international version (11.1.0.9080) removed zh_CN support, login, and some other functions. If you still want full functions, or you want aarch64 support, you may need the Chinese version from https://linux.wps.cn here: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/wps-office-cn

I split the /usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml files to the wps-office-mime package to avoid mime issues. If you still want the mime files provided by wps-office itself, you can install the new mime package.

There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.

About the software issues, you can go to the official feedback problem. I'm just a packager, I can not solve the software problem.

wps not working properly on KDE. It prints: "Unexpected value after '--separate-output'."

micathia commented on 2017-02-28 12:42 (UTC)

Has anyone had the issue that I am having with wps? 1. new blank document; 2. create two or three lines with bullet points, the default round dot ones; 3. export to pdf. only to see the bullet points are missing. It's something to do with wingding copyright I think (i saw that warning on first run)? but I have all windows fonts copied to /usr/share/fonts before installing wps. cheers

wps does not work properly with latest version of kdialog It prints "Unexpected value after '--separate-output'." Please add "export WPS_NO_KDE_NATIVE_DIALOG=1" to the shell script

/tmp/alpm_7hYoZy/.INSTALL: line 151: mkfontscale: command not found As archlinuxcn/repo#313[1] describes wps-office.install executes mkfontscale and mkfontdir. xorg-mkfontscale provides mkfontscale. xorg-mkfontdir provides mkfontdir. xorg-mkfontdir depends on xorg-mkfontscale. please add xorg-mkfontdir into depends. i have problems with WPS for linux in my documents created by WPS for windows in all pages appears something like this http://wstaw.org/m/2016/11/21/Spectacle.n10139.png (the carbon squares) Does anyone have the same problem?

GLutz commented on 2016-11-08 20:58 (UTC)

I don't know why I couldn't install direct from the repository, the sources's URL are correct, but during the installationg it didn't download the wps's source and the installation failed. Then i download from browser the tar.xz, and altered the PKGBUILD to use the file that I downloaded, and it worked.

xz Source from Kingsoft is corrupt, missing metadata. makepkg works, pacman gives error message missing metadata in source
