Users who want WPS version above 12, install wps-office-cn instead.

Anyone who meet the problem of launching wpspdf, please install the optional dependency libtiff5

If you have the "ERROR: One or more files failed the validity check!" problem, try cleaning your AUR cache first, and try again.

[ATTENTION] The new international version (11.1.0.9080) removed zh_CN support, login, and some other functions. If you still want full functions, or you want aarch64 support, you may need the Chinese version from https://linux.wps.cn here: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/wps-office-cn

I split the /usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml files to the wps-office-mime package to avoid mime issues. If you still want the mime files provided by wps-office itself, you can install the new mime package.

There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

Universebenzene commented on 2019-04-16 13:34 (UTC)

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.

About the software issues, you can go to the official feedback problem. I'm just a packager, I can not solve the software problem.

why dont you use the tar.xz release and how is this one different from this pkg: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/wps-office/ ?

felixonmars commented on 2014-12-23 07:27 (UTC)

@jaydoc There are no 64-bit releases for quite some time (and not likely, in the foreseeable future). This PKGBUILD will install the 32-bit version with the help of [multilib] repo.

jaydoc commented on 2014-12-23 01:00 (UTC)

Is this suitable for a 64-bit system? WPS office was supposed to have a 64-bit version but the PKGBUILD seems to require 32 bit?

@Aetf I can still download from the source specified too.. but here's a mirror for you: https://xbytez.eu/dl/wps-office_9.1.0.4937~a16p2_x86.tar.xz

1) According to the notes of A16 in url: wps-community.org/download.html, I think the language packages can be removed from AUR now. 2) The version of wpsoffice-common will be fixed in 1.2 util the depends(libsm, libcups, etc) for wps change. aur/wpsoffice-common 1.2-1 -> 9.1.0.4909~a16p1-1. That is a mistake made by command `mkaurball`. Sorry for losing sight of that. It seems that `mkaurball` behaves differently from `makepkg` in some details.

"wpsoffice-zh-cn" depends on "wpsoffice" -> "wpsoffice" depends on "wpsoffice-common" -> "wpsoffice-common" conflicts with "wpsoffice-zh-cn" what's a strange thing~~~ Please check this. The "wpsoffice" and "wpsoffice-common" use the same source package, update wps-common will reinstall wpsoffice, also a strange thing.

Got 'cannot connect to the server' if I open the link in browser, but I didn't remember it showing any exact error code. Anyway, the link is working now. Maybe just temporary network problem. :)

felixonmars commented on 2014-11-10 10:48 (UTC)

What error did you get? I can still download from the current source at the moment.

Aetf commented on 2014-11-10 08:11 (UTC)

Can't download from the source for several days. Not sure it is my local network's or the server's problem. And two mirrors listed on download page of official site only contains a15 packages. Anyone have another mirror available? Thanks.

felixonmars commented on 2014-11-07 06:34 (UTC)

@darioshanghai It works without a problem here. I'd suggest to report to upstream, thanks.
