@tornado99, I found the problem. Need to set KDE Display Global Scaling to 100% or set the QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS environment to empty or 1. But disable global scaling makes icon/window/font too small. Font size can be enlarge by setting font dpi, but icon/window is still too small.

@ppc52776, 11.1.0.10702 seems to have upgraded the included Qt from 4.7 to 5.12. This is good news as subpixel positioning of characters should now be supported, so text spacing should improve. On the other hand, they seem to have switched from RGB font antialiasing to grayscale antialising on low dpi screens (e.g. 1080p, QHD). It looks clear on my screens but I'm puzzled why they made this change. Also, it still ignores any system hinting settings.

Font rendering in today's version 11.1.0.10702 is ugly.

Warning Wayland users: Today's version seems to include a libQt5 without wayland support.

On my system WPS Office crashes as soon as I click on Settings. Reinstalling or cleaning the profile didn't work...
tornado99 commented on 2021-06-28 15:18 (UTC)
On my system WPS appears to ignore the font hinting setting. My /home/[user]/.config/fontconfig/fonts.conf file exists. If I switch sub-pixel rendering from RGB to None, and restart WPS it obeys that. But switching hinting from slight to none or full doesn't change anything in WPS. Any way to fix this? Possibly something needs to be in /etc/fonts/local.conf or /etc/fonts/conf.d/?

@saber716rus Use English to give feedback please. BTW there were wps-office-mui
packages on AUR to provide other language support in the past, but the upstream was dead. So only English locale now.

I gave up on WPS because I couldn't get the spell checker working even with language packages installed. Something was broken, no idea what.
chain commented on 2021-04-18 14:58 (UTC)
@marlor If u wish u can copy needed language from windows version of WPS. Just install it with wine and then copy language packs & vocabulary. Works like a charm with RU.

Anyone who meet the problem of launching wpspdf, please install the optional dependency libtiff5

If you have the "ERROR: One or more files failed the validity check!" problem, try cleaning your AUR cache first, and try again.

[ATTENTION] The new international version (11.1.0.9080) removed zh_CN support, login, and some other functions. If you still want full functions, or you want aarch64 support, you may need the Chinese version from https://linux.wps.cn here: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/wps-office-cn

I split the
/usr/share/mime/packages/wps-office-*.xml
files to thewps-office-mime
package to avoid mime issues. If you still want the mime files provided by wps-office itself, you can install the new mime package.Universebenzene commented on 2019-07-05 17:08 (UTC)
There is no official 32-bit package for version 11.1.0.8722, so I drop the support for i686 arch. For archlinux32 users you can create another wps-office package for 32-bit system yourself.

When you shut down wps-office, the wpsoffice process may still exist. You can do
sudo chmod -x /usr/lib/office6/wpsoffice
to fix it. But this might bring you problem with signing in.oowl commented on 2017-11-29 14:16 (UTC)
