Thanks!, that makes updates smooth.
I see that
wterm
actually has also an own, official version notion:wterm --version
prints out that it is version 0.7. Could you make this the first part of$pkgver
? (Could be extracted maybe bygit describe --tags
, or by parsing files in the source tree. The two examples I have linked in my previous comment have the one and the other method.) (The guidelines for VCS packages even suggest that one should do that, of an official version is available.)Regards!

Hey, thank you for the tip! I just updated the pkgver function. This version name is way cleaner and understandable (everybody likes ISO8601, human or machine)

Hey,
your
$pkgver
is the latest git commit hash, which is not strictly monotoneously increasing.Please change
pkgver()
so that it produces a strictly monotoneously increasing version number.You can refer e.g. to
gr-foo-git
orxfce4-taskbar-plugin-git
.(Then you maybe even can add
=${pkgver}
to theprovides
entry.)Don't forget to increment
$epoch
(if not set, setepoch=1
) if changing the versioning scheme.Thanks for maintaining!

Hey, thank you about noticing that. Just fixed it
I packaged this just for (my) convenience, I never expected anyone else would use it, so I'm the one that should thank you :)

As per package guidelines packages should not be installed into /usr/local/. Please could you update the PKGBUILD to install into /usr/? I also found that I needed 'git' in the makedepends to build.
Anyway, thanks for packaging this!

OK, this is embarrassing. Normally I just need a terminal to show me a tmux session, so I was in love with st: low memory footprint, no need to scroll up/down, and so on. But with wayland st runs under Xwayland, so it is using more memory than alacritty (which is cool and I like it), but...
wterm is simpler, has low memory footprint and for what I could test, it works for me. Give it a try if you know what you need
