Here's another patch incorporating ajs124's proposed change: https://pastebin.com/QMe6CTAW

@ajs124, good catch! I didn't think of that for some reason... :-)

@ducakar: The source definition would need to look like this, then:

source=("${pkgname:?}::git+https://github.com/ducakar/openzone-cursors.git#tag=v${pkgver:?}")

@Tblue, why did you call the git repo source "repo"? This is bound to conflict with other packages, and did actually do so on my system.

Why not just use $pkgname?

Tblue commented on 2018-01-01 14:38 (UTC)

You're welcome! I just noticed that I forgot to add "git" to the "makedepends", though...

Thanks, awesome. I didn't even know of this PKGBUILD magic.

Here's a patch for the PKGBUILD which builds the cursors from the Git repository (using the correct release tag) instead of downloading the final build artifact from opendesktop.org: https://pastebin.com/SwJNMc2L

It would be great if you could consider applying it. :)

@eimis: your fix is totally messed up, man :P

Seems that opendesktop.org generates temporary download URLs.
