The next release was indeed released as 0.5.0, so the latest PKGBUILD will be seen as a downgrade by pacman.
I really do not want to bump the epoch so soon. I do not plan to package RC releases again in the future, and if I really have to I will name it as such so this does not happen.

It is too late, but I will keep that in mind in the future. If we are lucky upstream will skip to 0.6.0.

Keep in mind that
0.5.0
is lesser than0.5.0.rc1
, but greater than0.5.0rc1
, so you should skip any dash or dot entirely if you want upgrades to go smoothly when a full release lands. That said it might too late for that already :Pabouvier commented on 2023-06-03 20:37 (UTC)
