I always had problems with the 3020 driver on Debian but with this package everything works flawlessly.

FYI

I didn't know this, so i thought i'd share:

This printer supports IPP Everywhere and AirPrint, so you can use it fine without the driver. It also solves contrast problems(*).

The downside is that since everything is processed by the printer, there is sometimes 20-30s delay before it starts printing.

* I've also noticed that IPP Everywhere gives better image colors (text is the same tho) than this driver. This is actually the reason i've even bothered with all of this.

The way you do this with system-config-printer is:

  1. add
  2. network printer -> AppSocket/HP JetDirect
  3. enter its lan ip address / hostname in host, leave port the same
  4. forward; select printer from database -> generic; forward;
  5. scroll to the top, select IPP Everywhere
  6. that's all that matters, finish by yourself
