Don't flag out of date. This follows development snapshots. Will update once packages in the 4.17 series are published (use the stable packages in extra/community until then).

Yes, for the moment, I do recommend building the rest of the *-devel packages against the xfconf from extra. If you have more luck installing this and then rebuilding the packages the install script flags, let me know.

I'm not sure I understand. Do you recommend building the rest of the -dev packages against stable xfconf?

4.13.1 reverted the soname name bump and bumped the soname version instead. No libxfconf-1, but libxfconf-0.so.3 from libxfconf-0.so.2, so everything will need a rebuild, but shouldn't need a port

@Skynnyk: Yeah, I'm going to hold off until at least some of the core xfce packages are updated.

xfconf 4.13 is available ( https://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/xfce-announce/2017-June/000520.html ), and now provide libxfconf-1. All plugins linked to libxfconf-0 will break, so we need to find a way to still provide libxfconf-0, maybe with a new package which only provide libxfconf-0.so (and related files) ? Note that xfce4-panel and xfce4-settings are not yet ported to support libxfconf-1 ( https://mail.xfce.org/pipermail/xfce4-dev/2017-June/031959.html ). So maybe wait a little bit before packaging it.
