Don't flag out of date. This follows development snapshots. Will update once packages in the 4.17 series are published (use the stable packages in extra/community until then).

The PKGBUILD is missing a build dependency on glib2-devel. If it's missing, there will be the following error:

checking for gdbus-codegen... configure: error: could not find gdbus-codegen. You can run: ./configure GDBUS_CODEGEN=/path/to/gdbus-codegen to provide a custom location for it.

I'll do that, thanks!

If you upgrade to the latest pkgrel 4.13.1-2, it will show you at the end which packages are linked against libxfconf-0.so.2 (from xfconf<4.13) which will need to be rebuilt to link against libxfconf-0.so.3 (from xfconf>=4.13.1)

Well, I built them the other day, but almost nothing worked. xfwm4 complained it couldn't find libxfconf-0.so.2, xfsettings wouldn't apply the changes etc. I'll try your solution.
