Two requests:
Have this conflict with yubico-authenticator. That package has been removed; this is the best replacement for it, but it doesn't conflict so it errors on install unless the old package is manually removed.
Symlink /opt/yubico-authenticator/authenticator to /usr/bin/yubico-authenticator so that it can be launched from the terminal, instead of only having the .desktop available.
In Linux and Unix-like operating systems, /opt is a directory where optional software packages can be installed. These packages are not part of the standard utility and service programs that come pre-installed with the operating system. If I'm not mistaken this binary depends on the directory structure. You can check it with ls /opt/opt/yubico-authenticator/. Why do you wanna change the path?
Why is the binary in /opt/yubico-authenticator/authenticator and not in the path?
IMPORTANT: Before proceeding, ensure you've added the GPG key of the developer responsible for the code release. Follow the guidelines provided on the site: https://developers.yubico.com/Software_Projects/Software_Signing.html
Execute the following command to add the GPG key:

I have tried to import custom Icons(https://aegis-icons.github.io/) but it is stuck at Loading icon pack...

NOTE: source code releases are typically signed with an OpenPGP key belonging to one of Yubico's developers, which may vary between releases. Ensure that you import the correct key for the latest release.
