This package will be kept in sync with the openzfs latest stable release and the kernels officially supported by it.

For the supported kernel versions, refer to the respective openzfs release notes (LINK).

E.g. openzfs 2.3.1 supports kernel versions 4.18 - 6.13. When kernel 6.14 is released for Arch, zfs-linux will not be updated until the openzfs project announces that it's compatible. This will most likely happen with the next openzfs release.

The kernel compatibility of the upcoming openzfs release can be seen in their META file (LINK).

For those wishing to use openzfs with unsupported kernels, do note that this could lead to serious issues, including data loss, even though such a zfs-linux package might build and install cleanly. Have reliable backups and use such a package at your peril.

Please do not mark this package as out of date without checking the kernel compatibility first. Thank you!

There is an error in the pkgbuild: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-root/aur-zfs/./PKGBUILD: Line 26: cd: /tmp/yaourt-tmp-root/aur-zfs/src/zfs-0.6.011: No such file or directory Needs to be zfs-0.6.0-rc11

Why are you using configure --prefix=/ and not --prefix=/usr ? This breaks a numbers of things such as the zfs hook which looks for /usr/sbin/zpool not /sbin/zpool

Hey guys and gals. I have updated the packages to the latest release. Let me know if you encounter problems. I have also created a split package to make installing faster and easier, but unfortunately AUR does not support split packages. However, you can get it here if you like https://github.com/demizer/aur-zfs/tree/master/sources/split.

Tried to compile on 32 bit machine and got this error http://pastebin.com/Ep96qFWD. 64 bit works like a charm

@mikers I totally missed that thanks.

pkgrel for official maintainer builds should always start at 1 and increment by whole integers. The reason I had used 0 previously was in order to get a clean upgrade when this package gets updated. (My personal convention when I need further changes on my own are to increment by .1; eg, 0.1 or 1.1, then when the package in AUR gets updated hopefully pkgrel will be bigger than the minor point value I gave it)

Thanks demizer for updating this package and thank you all others for helping out too :-)

Thanks goes to kylef for giving me ownership of the package. He didn't have access to his machines to perform the updates. I have updated the package.
