In addition to gtk4/libadwaita package changes below, this now builds with yyjson (non -git) as of yyjson version 0.8.0-1 (currently in AUR.)

this can now be built using the standard (non -git) packages for gtk4 and libadwaita

You can replace gtk4-git with gtk4 as 1.0.0-beta.6.1.1

Hello. On my system when I right click on anything in Zrythm, instead of the normal menu I see only a black rectangle. There is no such issue in flatpak, but the AUR version has it. Could you get it fixed please? I can provide more input on my issue if you need it.

It fails because towards the end of the installation process the carla package conflicts with the carla-git package. You will be asked whether the carla package should be removed. No matter how you answer it: the installation of zrythm fails.

I suppose that's possible. I looked further back at the version history. They switched from alpha to beta 20 months ago. They used the alpha moniker for 18 months.

This is beta software, per upstream. And what happens when they release 1.0.1?

Not "nonsense". Every tag starts with v1.0.0-beta.. Every tag follows it with "x.y.z". That makes v1.0.0-beta. a prefix. Whether you want to drop it is up to you.

@xiota Nonsense, see https://gitlab.zrythm.org/zrythm/zrythm/-/tags.

Though this was a good reminder that there's a new version out.

Even though it looks like a version string, the 1.0.0.beta. appears to be a prefix that should be dropped. From upstream tagging behavior, the real version is the 4.12.34 that follows.
