I'm getting the same error too, downgrading to preview3 because of this. Looks like the source for preview 4 is not available too, so I can't tell why does this happen.

I'm getting the same error as @sindrenm on my home system as well as my work system. For me the manual download direct from google also works.

I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue after downloading the latest version (2.2 Preview 2, or 2.2.0a2 as it's called in your package), but it doesn't happen when I download the zip file manually and run its binary (bin/studio.sh) to launch it. Here's a stacktrace for the error: https://gist.github.com/sindrenm/9be7845b10e5c7305e614eb9a2d59ad8 Running /opt/android-studio/bin/studio.sh produces the error, but downloading it manually and running <download-location>/bin/studio.sh works totally fine. Do you have any idea what could be wrong? EDIT: Interestingly, this seems to work fine on my personal laptop at home. I'll dig more into the problem to try and figure out what the cause of this can be.

Android studio 2.1 Beta has been released yesterday. Any chance of updating the package? Thanks :)

2.0 RC1 is not a later version than 2.1 Preview 5. Unflagging.

2.1 Preview 1 is also now available.

Heads up, the checksum on the new beta is wrong. The windows checksum appears to be the correct linux checksum.

@daveaur I had the same issue with aurget. The obvious reason would be that 'p' comes after 'b' :)

For some reason yaourt does not recognise the update from 2.0.0p9 to 2.0.0b2 automatically. If I manually install the new version it warns me about downgrading. I guess there is something wrong with the version numbers.
