I'm actually fine with maintaining it, I just thought you want to. But I'll do it still, and appreciate all your help.

I will, if you really need someone to. I'll probably need some help from time to time though. I'm not all that familiar with packaging using git or svn.

Ok, from now on the master branch is used, it is compatible with sword-svn. I'll update the stable sword package once stable bibletime moves to sword 1.7

maxcool please keep us posted here. Do you want to take over the package?

SanskritFritz commented on 2013-10-07 12:29 (UTC)

Yeah, new version of sword has appeared, who would have thought, eh :) I'll look into the changes and update the packages if needed.

Thank you! I actually found it and was about to post that it's now sorted, but thanks all the same :) I went poking in the bibletimerc file and discovered that an option in the session configuration seemed to be overriding the global setting, which tipped me off that there might be an other option hiding somewhere...

macxcool commented on 2013-10-07 11:38 (UTC)

The 'Tools' bar needs to be turned on via right-click at the top of the reading window. Then a Tools button appears (green, with a wrench ;-) which drops down and give you verse numbers and a bunch of other things.

Just had another quick hunt as it's been a while since I looked into it, and found that the problem is that I'm not able to change the "Show Verse Numbers" option in the configuration. The option is there, unticked, but if I tick it, the change doesn't get applied, and the option remains unticked if I go into the configuration panel again. Very strange.

I haven't been using Bibletime for a while because I can't see any verse numbers. Do you know if there's some configuration I've missed?

That is good news. I'm going to try building both tonight.
