Bitwig have changed their download URLs and put the download link behind a login page...
If you flag this out-of-date please send the download link too, e.g for 4.0beta2 it is https://www.bitwig.com/dl/?id=440&os=installer_linux
Had to spend £115 just to check the updated 2.4b1 package works. I hope you're happy... :P
It's running OK for me, though I did have to clear its preferences so it would run as something other than an un-resizable maximised window on a second monitor... which wasn't a preference I set. ($HOME/.BitwigStudio/prefs
).
I flagged out of date for beta4 but I'm having issues with beta4. With beta4 (even with a clean config), bitwig hangs at the splash screen for me. Not sure if anyone else is running into this
Updated; I've moved things round so side-by-side installation should work (it works for me...).
Thanks for this.. I wonder if there's any way to install this side-by-side with bitwig? Maybe if we moved it to /opt/bitwig-studio-beta and changed /usr/bin/bitwig-studio name?
Would be nice to have 2.2 for important stuff and 2.3 beta for newer stuff. But might not be worth the effort since 2.3 is coming soon and it's easy enough to switch between versions with pacman -U
edit: just looked and its probably too much work to be worth the effort
A package for anyone who wants to play with the new features before it's stable. Be warned, this is definitely not production-ready.
