Although the package name is blender-git, the name set by blender.desktop is blender-svn. Can you change this?

Thanks guys! It should compile now.

Latest blender build requires OSL 1.73. Arch provides OSL 1.72 witch breaks build while linking final binary.

New build requires 'blender-dev-tools.git'. --- https://git.blender.org/gitweb/gitweb.cgi/blender.git/commit/3ba83e247a80d8c8c8fe5fb4f1d32b5c2694b53c > Add developer tools submodule > > This is intended for utilities to help with development, which aren't needed for building.

Roken, I get a build error too, when it tries to build the CUDA kernels. Something about a 'nullprt' being undefined. I have not done any research into this though. If I have the time and find anything, I'll report back.

Roken commented on 2016-06-14 20:05 (UTC)

I'm guessing the problem is gcc 6.1.1. Apparently there's a patch, which hasn't made it to git yet.

I can't build, error at 96% CMakeFiles/Makefile2:1293: recipe for target 'intern/cycles/kernel/CMakeFiles/cycles_kernel_cuda.dir/all' failed make[1]: *** [intern/cycles/kernel/CMakeFiles/cycles_kernel_cuda.dir/all] Error 2 Any ideas?

Thanks stativ, you were right! Turned out I ran out of disk space so my system upgrade didn't finish.

planckstein: according to the lddtree libicudata is required by boost-libs (a dependency of blender). My guess is that your system is not fully upgraded and boost-libs still links to the old version of the library.

Hi there! This package built for me, but I got the following error when running it: blender: error while loading shared libraries: libicudata.so.55: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Does anyone know what I can do to fix this error? Thanks!
