Okay, you are right, regarding all up-to-date packages, it is working with "libtiff5".
My system still had "libtiff (v4.4.0-4)"(Repository: Extra) which also provides "libtiff.so.5". With the updated version of "libtiff (v4.5.0)" it provides "libtiff.so.6". Then "libtiff5" (AUR) can be installed without conflict.
libtiff5 is currently required because as from version 4.5.0 the arch libbtiff package provides libtiff.so.6, while cewe looks for libtiff.so.5. There is no conflict if the system is up to date.
IMHO the PKGBUILD "depend=" should use "libtiff" and not "libtiff5". Many other applications depend on libtiff; using libtiff5 will produce a package conflict.
Version 7.3 is available via automatic update, but not (yet) via the download link in the PKGBUILD. Auto update to 7.3 now works, but the application then segfaults for me. Does it work for others?
For the above reasons I don't want to update the version number to 7.3 yet.
Parameters for Italy are now in the PKGBUILD, which will now not fail to download variants with a dot in their name. (You were not wrong, lorcap.)
Hi there. I'd like to contribute to the Italian localization. setup_CEWE_IT_Foto_World.tgz is available as https://dls.photoprintit.com/api/getClient/19991-it_IT/hps/x_x_x_x_19991_x_19991-8cKqeUSBZalTT/linux (see download page), which is not supported by your script. Am I wrong?

it would be nice, if you could add in the description or in a pinned comment here and here: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/cewe-fotowelt/ where the difference to the relative other package is. I was completely confused (and still am, when trying to use the DM download-install-software) ...
it seems to me, that the fotobuch can only create books while the fotowelt can create "other photo products" as well.
A comment with a link to the relative other package would be great. Thank you!
@DonJaime : It was a trouble with yay ; I could install with success by makepkg, and pacman -U, after editing PKGBUILD with french parameters.

I can't reproduce that. Setting _productVariant=France in line 7 builds a package for me (the version gets updated automatically). Did you maybe add those two lines somewhere else?
Hello, I am maintener of cewe-monlivrephoto-fr and of cewe-monlivrephoto-fnac, and since your very good job, my aim is to delete these two packages, because now cewe-fotobuch is able to deal with language variants. Version 7.1.4 is available for France, and for FNAC. I tried to install cewe-fotobuch, with your PKGBUILD updated like this :
_productVariant=France
_prams_France=(fr_FR 7884 'Logiciel de création CEWE' 7.1.4)
But, I get this error :
impossible de trouver PKGDEST pour : cewe-fotobuch
(PKGDEST not found for cewe-fotobuch)
Maybe, I missed something ?
And, what package is it better to use : cewe-fotowelt or cewe-fotobuch ?

Version 7.3 segfault problem has been fixed.
Failure in check() indicates that the setup script has been changed. Please flag the package out of date if this happens.
If the application reports a new version, you can OK the update and it will make and install an updated Arch package. (You will need your sudo password.)
