Current version of widevine is 4.10.2830.0. Can be derived from google-chrome-stable_129.0.6668.70-1_amd64.deb. Just change '_chrome_ver' in the PKGBUILD:

_chrome_ver=129.0.6668.70

I will step up and adopt it since other ports such as qtwebflix needs it.

Upstream packaged an older version with the newer browser. They've done this before, then switched back to the newer version with next minor release, I was hoping that's what would happen here.

I think the epoch needs to be bumped because the last version went backwards 1:4.10.2652.0-1 -> 1:4.10.2557.0-1?

Rasberry Pi just started distributing libwidevinecdm for aarch64 here: https://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/w/widevine/libwidevinecdm0_4.10.2252.0+1_arm64.deb Seems it's not quite as up to date as the x64 source in the package and doesn't seem to contain the main WidevineCdm binary that the x64 source do.

@Scimmia can you add the aarch64 architecture to the PKGBUILD? It'll make the building process on that platform easier.

Thank god this package is still updated! Not sure if it's this one that did the trick or "qt5-webplugin-widevine". I installed both but I think this is the one that works.

I use Edge, and under Edge://flags, widevine is still unrecognized as a thing just like hardware encode/decode and video hardware acceleration ("unavailable on your platform"). Install this package and then just get to Netflix. No need to enable any flag or anything. Just restart the browser, maybe even the computer just in case (though not needed).

If you increase the _chrome_ver and the pkgver is the same then you should also increase pkgrel.
