I was recently added as comaintainer of the -wow64 packages. pcsclite has been added.

Thanks for bringing this up. To be honest, neither wine nor wine-wow64 is a correct dependency. This application requires a working 32-bit winscard.dll, and neither works out of box.

multilib/wine does not work: 32-bit winscard.dll works only under wow64 mode due to an upstream issue [1].
wine-wow64 does not work: winscard.dll is not built as pcsclite is not a dependency. I proposed to add the missing dependency in Sep 2023 [2], but did not get a rely.

I'm reluctant to create yet another wine package on AUR, so I pick the closer one. I will contact the maintainer of wine-wow64 again to get the missing dependency in.

Why does this depend on wine-wow64 instead of wine?
