metacity_theme_active_opacity should be set to '1' to be fully opaque. What values do you have set in the other /apps/gwd/* keys? It think the problem may lie in setting elsewhere.

i had already installed metacity and gconf before building, and i also installed compizconfig-backend-gconf-dev, then rebooted. Now i have the metacity themes but they are tansparent. I've tried changing the keys apps/gwd/metacity_theme_active_opacity to 100 and 1 but it doesn't change anything.. i get this http://imagebin.org/160403

Assuming you have installed metacity and gconf before building this package, then its because you haven't installed the compizconfig-backend-gconf-dev package, which installs the gwd schema. It may be possible to have gwd pick up the metacity theme without installing the gconf backend. If so, I'll have this package do the fix up, rather than the *-gconf-dev package...

why doesn't gtk-window-decorator pick up the metacity theme??

rufflove commented on 2011-06-17 17:59 (UTC)

Updated to give basic setup pointers and set gtk-window-decorator as default

Added a post-install notice with basic pointers and several build options; you can now omit gtk-window-decorator and/or include a basic configuration for use with gnome-session.

Somewhere a notice that it has to be started with "compiz --replace ccp" is needed would be nice. :)
