In the build function, python2 needs to be replaced with python.

The upstream URL is apparently now https://github.com/ninja-build/ninja

re2c is only a build dependency of ninja. & it isn't required unless you're developing it with modifications to lexer.in.cc or depfile_parser.in.cc

python2 should be listed as a builddepency. Also instead of # Force to use python2 rm -rf "${srcdir}"/python mkdir "${srcdir}"/python ln -s /usr/bin/python2 "${srcdir}"/python/python export PATH="${srcdir}"/python:$PATH ./bootstrap.py Why not just python2 bootstrap.py
