Correction. Works like expected, compiles clean.
Hint: don't mix up your setup by switching between ALSA and pulse. Work with this server/streamer for years. Cheers

Not fixed yet - instead of taking the plague to fix it I'd rather compile from origin.

Please add git to makedepends :)

@14mRh4X0r chicken/egg indeed. fixed.

The latest changes to the PKGBUILD do not work, since the service file does not exist in the master branch of the darkice AUR package (chicken/egg, someone?).
A patch that fixes this can be found at http://sprunge.us/JNDh

@B3l3tte committed. Only changes I made are to deps for aacplus.

So, I finally got a fully working PKGBUILD here : http://pastebin.com/raw/upwvugaT
To install properly :
cd && mkdir darkice && cd darkice
curl http://pastebin.com/raw/upwvugaT > PKGBUILD
makepkg
pacman -U dark*.tar.xz
cd .. && rm -rf ./darkice
Enjoy :)

@B3l3tte Thanks for the help. I was planning on getting to it this week-- I haven't really worked with the new AUR-- so I'll get this in ASAP. Need to update my studio in any case.

I have updated the PKGBUILD for the 1.3 sourceforge version.
It's available here : http://pastebin.com/FSiGvgxZ
I have also submitted a PR on their github to prevent some compilation errors : https://github.com/rafael2k/darkice/pull/120

This AUR package is a mirror and automatically updated from the proaudio binary repo project at https://github.com/osam-cologne/archlinux-proaudio
If possible, open a GitHub issue or PR instead of commenting here, thanks!

@all Heads up: I've updated the package to 1.4 and made the following changes:
N.B.: Upstream version 1.4 is not listed on the project's web site, but it is tagged in their git repository (see https://github.com/rafael2k/darkice/issues/157).
