For what it's worth, the messages below were sent to 'ddrace-git' AUR package, which was merged with 'teeworlds-ddnet-git'.

The URL redirects to DDNet and the Github page states that DDRace is "DEPRECATED - Go to https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet instead!". IMHO this package is a candidate to removal..

There are some stuff you could fix/update in your PKGBUILD. I provide some comments below and then a suggestion of PKGBUILD. 1) pacman 4.1 introduced new structure for VCS packages' PKGBUILD (like GIT). Use source(), checksums, pkgver()... 2) patches can be applied inside prepare(), which is recommended 3) Please always apply double quotes (") around $srcdir and $pkgdir, to avoid issues due to whitespaces. 4) Use conflicts=(teeworlds) and provides=(teeworlds), in order to avoid file already being installed by packages 'teeworlds' or any other that provides=(teeworlds).
