Yes - ccache is already listed as a dependency. I'm not sure what I can do for you to fix that - I suspect your problem is somewhere else...

Hello, thank you for maintaining this package. I apologize in advance if this report is in the wrong place. I encountered problems running makepkg -s:

$ makepkg -s
==> ERROR: Cannot find the ccache binary required for compiler cache usage.

Installing ccache separately allows makepkg to succeed. However, I checked and ccache is already listed in this package's makedepends, which is why I suspect I may be reporting this problem in the wrong place. Again, apologies if that is the case.

Please stop with all of the useless bumping. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Flagging_packages_out-of-date

why add physics? it has essentially gone unused by anything. no one ever used the physics stuff in edje. the only example use (efbb - a game) was a demo and otherwise it hasn't gotten used. it isn't used in enlightenment either, terminology, rage etc. or anything i know of worth talking about other than demos of "oh look- it works". that's why i was disabled by default upstream. including it when its not used costs a few hundred kb of real dirty ram (dirty pages linked in from bullet - this was discussed at enlightenment developer day) so... it went off for many good reasons. so give a reason to reverse this direction. a very very very good one... :)

please add ephysics and include it in list of provides (-dphysics=true)

Also, ive made a complementary efl-full-git package (incomplete, as i need to fix depends, etc) to include both deprecated and uncommon features. - If this stands as a issue, please just reply to this comment and let me know.

well, no point worrying about it then. it builds and works.

I tried again. I could compile successfully efl, enlightenment, rage and terminology. I did not change any package version...

oh wait... i see what you mean... those errors appear before the build completes... they scrolled off my screen, but package build finished. so i do see this.. but it's not a fatal error. again - something in binutils i guess.

raster commented on 2020-04-08 16:02 (UTC)

well i can't go fix binutils/compiler problems... the same source builds fine with slightly older stuff... this is a problem that should be reported probably to the maintainers of those packages... ?
