Arch Linux User Repository

With every release I update the keywords (see Package Details above) containing a list of all Epson printer series supported by this driver. Additionally, SUPPORTED-PRINTERS at the GitLab repository gitlab.com/at.gentoo.repo/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 also contains a list of supported printers.

Most Epson Inkjet printers are covered by either this package or epson-inkjet-printer-escpr. If your printer is not supported by this package, be sure to check the other one. You may also want to consult the Wiki, specifically CUPS and CUPS/Printer-specific problems#Epson.

Note: all packages from AUR require base-devel, please read Arch User Repository as a user or PKGBUILD#makedepends for details on PKGBUILD.

I needed to install this and like lilmike said, 1.0.31 doesn't work.

Edit pkgbuild:

Change pkgver to 1.0.32

Change source to https://download3.ebz.epson.net/dsc/f/03/00/09/28/13/7f23b5f75b434571f34a32c8f77675b42bdd9888/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2-1.0.32-1lsb3.2.src.rpm

Change first sha256sums to f5b9b0f5f663a8fb66bef9084cf6b93d46ceca728e4feb05fac515ef02b4b2a5

The download returns error 404. Just FYI.

Just a suggestion: could you add the following keywords to the package, it will make finding the package for specific printers easier:

Epson printer driver download page seems to be broken quite a while now :'(

It does not work for me. I had to add one line in "build" section after "cd":

autoreconf -f -i

What worked for me was changing the build function to this:

  aclocal
  autoconf

  ./configure --prefix=/usr \
              --with-cupsfilterdir=/usr/lib/cups/filter \
              --with-cupsppddir=/usr/share/ppd
  make
}

(I don’t know how to do newlines here so: https://pastebin.com/3ARnHjqy) This seems to rebuild aclocal.m4 and configure with the installed version of the GNU Build System.

I am getting an exception when building the new version (1.0.27) of this package, saying "'automake-1.15' is missing on your system". The automake in the Arch repos is 1.16.1 - I assume thats the problem? If someone else has the problem and knows how to fix it, I can update the PKGBUILD
