@tornado99 if you could try to investigate the desktop file and debug it would be great. I use gnome and there are no problems so I'd assume you have a different DE? Currently this ships the desktop file "as is" provided by Evernote, I don't modify it but fixes can be introduced once we figure out what is wrong. It could work only with gnome because this early access is targeted at ubuntu users.

Thanks. But doesn't launch for me.
Edit: it does work if I launch from the command line. So something is wrong with the shortcut creation.
