have been seeing this mesages from fakeroot lib while building ever since firefox-130.0rc

I moved policies.json to the "distribution" folder and it seems to work better! Now the policy appears in about:policies. I also switched to the policy DisableAppUpdate because it seems more adequate than AppAutoUpdate.

BTW I also added alsa-lib as dependency.

Thanks @5kg, @Flysoft and @dnim! And sorry for the late response. I update the PKGBUILD when I see an update, but I have switched back to Firefox Stable as my main browser a while ago.

The policies.json doesn't seem to work. According to the docs:

Create a file called policies.json with your policies.

Place this file in firefox/distribution where "firefox" is the installation directory for Firefox. (This will vary per distribution).

The policy file should be in distribution folder.

Here's how I managed to get it work:

mkdir /opt/firefox-beta/distribution
ln -s /opt/firefox-beta/policies/policies.json /opt/firefox-beta/distribution/policies.json

The browser won't start without alsa-lib installed.

Would it be possible to add a policies file to disable AppAutoUpdate? Firefox attempting to auto update always leads to a popup stating a new version exists and it failed to update itself, and usually just means this package is about get a version bump anyway.

Any clue why i keep getting an Error saying install-File (firefox-beta-bin.install) doesn't exist or isn't a regular file, when trying to install via pamac/Manjaro?
