I had this error when updating

curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found ==> ERROR: Failed to download http://debrepo.freedownloadmanager.org/pool/main/f/freedownloadmanager/freedownloadmanager_6.11.0.3217_amd64.deb Aborting ... Failed to compile freedownloadmanager

You can install the files with one command, no need for noextract() or a prepare() function. Also, it's good to symlink the binary to /usr/bin/:

    tar -xvf data.tar.xz -C "$pkgdir"

    install -d "$pkgdir/usr/bin"
    ln -s "/opt/$pkgname/fdm" "$pkgdir/usr/bin/fdm"
}

Today I go for installation but there is url error... So please update the package to version 6.10.1.3051

or use url: https://dn3.freedownloadmanager.org/6/latest/freedownloadmanager.deb to get always latest version... for this url you have not to know the version number.

Hi Rizwan-Hasan,

please use http://debrepo.freedownloadmanager.org/pool/main/f/freedownloadmanager/freedownloadmanager_${pkgver}_amd64.deb as source instead. It's their official apt repository and will contain the latest version.

The download link is showing me an older version (6.7.0.2533 RC). Perhaps they frequently change the download link.
