Same issue as Brottweiler: install: cannot stat '/tmp/makepkg/google-chrome-beta/pkg/google-chrome-beta/opt/google/chrome-beta/product_logo_16.png': No such file or directory
It is looking for chrome-beta/product_logo_16.png but I have chrome-beta/product_logo_16_beta.png instead
Looks like it needs to copy the google-chrome-dev PKGBUILD on line 47: install -Dm644 "$pkgdir"/opt/google/chrome-$channel/product_logo${i/x}_${pkgname/-}.png \

When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Beta updates" tag in Release blog for this.
You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome beta version:
Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.
