When reporting this package as outdated make sure there is indeed a new version for Linux Desktop. You can have a look at the "Stable updates" tag in Release blog for this.

You can also run this command to obtain the version string for the latest chrome version:

$ curl -sSf https://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/main/binary-amd64/Packages | \
     grep -A1 "Package: google-chrome-stable" | \
     awk '/Version/{print $2}' | \
     cut -d '-' -f1

Do not report updates for ChromeOS, Android or other platforms stable versions as updates here.

That cookie bug seems to be gone as of 53.0.2785.101.

@fusion809: I'm experiencing that behaviour too.

Nope I'm not working incognito and it seems I got it wrong, it's when I logout of Arch Linux / reboot, I loose my logins.

Det commented on 2016-09-06 14:27 (UTC)

You're losing the cookies. Incognito?

Am I the only one that is experiencing a bug where whenever I close Google Chrome all my login sessions (like for Facebook, Wikipedia, Twitter, GitHub, etc.) are lost and I have to login to each website again? This bug, I might add, is limited to Google Chrome. I logged into these sites in Chromium, then closed Chromium and re-opened Chromium and found that I'm still logged into all these sites.

Hi, I think that postinstall updates are not necessary since pacman has its own hooks to update desktop database.

This release wants password to unlock keyring whenever its launched. Is there way to disable/bypass the request?
