that's kind of weird, while I have libxcrypt installed I don't have libxcrypt-compat installed - which is a AUR package which I really don't want to have as a dependency.

So does libxcrypt itself work too (removing libxcrypt-compat from your system)?

@RubenKelevra I have the same error, I use yay as AUR-helper.

EDIT: Installing libxcrypt-compat solves the problem.

@martinligabue sounds to me that some software you built on your system is out of date.

Do you use an AUR-helper? If so which one?

@alex.henrie I can't reproduce your issue, builds fine here.

I would advise reporting this issue upstream, as this is not part of the "packaging process" I do, but dependencies that are fetched on build time. So there's nothing I can do here.
